Jon has been a videographer for
over 15 years, Studying film production, video editing and
animation in the UK Jonathan has always had a passion for
film, along with his lifelong love of marine life. Originally
working for Crystal
Dive Resort he moved over to Deepdown to take the head
videographer position. Now Jon spends as much time diving
as possible always hoping to catch the "Money shot".
If not diving you will find him in the editing suite developing
new techniques to keep the videos at the forefront of video
imaging.
With over 15 years experience in the UK broadcasting industry, Simon is actively involved in a vast amount of projects for BBC, National Geographic, and other large broadcast corporation.
Recent UK underwater projects for programmes such as Blue Peter, BSAC's "Go Diving", National Geographic's "Red Sea Adventure", Dive Magazine's "Dive Aqaba" using a whole range of film techniques and post production work has ensured Simon is always in demand.
Recent land projects have involved post production work on a wide range of features, such as "The Audrey Hepburn Story", "Nelson Mandela - The Last Mile", "Hollywood Musicals", and the ITV series "Missing".
Current projects that Simon is working on include 3 new episodes of STV's "Taggart", a Military aircraft series, and an ongoing multi million pound natural history project in commissioning stage.
Simon also creates "stings" which are quick eye grabbing graphical displays, using his wide experience of Adobe After Effects. Simon extensive knowledge of After Effects has earned him commissions from major UK corporations for channel branding, and logo creations.
When asked, Simon said that the highlight of his career was "Following The Dalai Lama around with a camera.... I never have been a very religious kind of guy, but that man had something...it was a honour."
Simon's continual role as Creative Director and major shareholder of Dupehouse Ltd, and having a active presence with Eco Koh Tao, means that scheduled bookings are a must with the very exclusive and detailed course Documentary Video course that he and Jon shall be heading.
Jenny Dowling - MSDT
Also part of the Professional Broadcast Documentary Course team. Jennifer's role is in the pre-production and management of the course. With experience in a vast array of multi million pound projects in the UK and Middle East, her experience of pre-production, budgets, logging, and shot lists are essential for professional productions to control time and budget deadlines.
Jenny recently completed a film about Coral Restoration that was widely appraised as "An amazing insight to Koh Tao's Coral Reefs". She leads an active role in Eco Koh Tao continuing to educate divers and non divers in good environmental practices.

Tony came to Crystal Dive in January 08 to undertake
the Divemaster program. After completing this course at the
beginning of March he then began the DDP
Professional Videographer Course . After completing a
three week internship
program he was offered a job with DDP, he is showing great
potential as a marine videographer along with his background
in computer animation he has all the skills needed to produce
the high standard work expected from Deepdown. Tony is also a videography course trainer.
We will explain his nickname when we have more
time!!
Daniel Harding - DM 368666
Daniel has been with DDP since 2006, after returning to the Uk last year he returned back to take his full time position in Sept 2009. He took up where he left off by being a passionate diver and marine videographer. He has a vast knowledge of filming and editing resulting in him being one of our Underwater Video Course Trainers.
Jason Green - DM

Coming from a music production background for
over 15 years Jason has always had a creative flare, having
lived on Koh Tao since 2005 he has always had a definite plan
of what he has wanted to do in the diving industry. He worked
as a divemaster at Crystal
Dive Resort then wishing to explore new pastures he worked
at seashell divers. After this time as a working DM Jason
was well prepared to undertake his new job as a underwater
videographer. After an intense training
program Jace started full time at the beginning of May
2007. Jace is also a videography course trainer.
James' employment history speaks for itself, coming from the world famous St Martins College in London with a B A Hons in Theatre design he then went on to become a Head of production design for TV - CBBC (BBC TV), then over to Production Manager and Art Director for Film / TV before a 3 year run as Account & Production manager for high profile events. Wanting to expand his career and look for something new James returned to Koh Tao & DDP to undertake his internship. James had completed his Divemaster in 2007 and pro video course in 2008 and was eager to become a full time underwater film maker. Now being at DDP he has shown his creative flare in film making and has become an essential part of the team he is also showing great skill and patience as a video trainer. And im sure has a lot more to offer.
