Laure (France) who has recently completed her Underwater Video Course played her show reel to a crowded Crystal Dive Resort Bar. The "one of a Kind" movie was highly praised with comments like "i have to get back to reality" after the viewing and the film was a "one off". From the start of the course Laure who is a journalist had a clear vision of what she wanted to achieve and i must say she produced great movie. She is now undertaking her Divemaster and directly after this she will be heading down to our office in Perinthians where she will start her videography internship program.

Sina from Germany has just finished her Recreational Videographer Training program in style. Airing her showreel to a packed crowd at the Crystal Dive Resort bar. She undertook the 10 dive video course, learning all the basics of underwater videography, also learning editing she took it to a new level in a very short space of time. The movie was well appreciated as the audience look on in awe. We hope to have Sina come back and do the internship, but she has to finish her four year around the world trip first.
Underwater Videography trainee Tim is about half way through his 26 dive course and was out learning shot composition and learning how to film ground subjects using time lapse, he was also lucky enough to come across 5 differnent puffer fish. Also on the training dives he shot an excellant sequence of a hermit crab moving across some rough terrain. He will be out in the morning with trainee Laure then back to the studio in the afternoon to edit his latest footage. Also Andy had his first day of the documentary section of his course and was preparing to use the Z1 for land filming. Senas showreel will be aired at the Crystal Dive bar later tonight aswell. So best of luck.

She will soon be joined by Teresa who has been sick but is eager to get wet. Steve and Tim are back from there visa runs and will restart their training in a couple of day whilst Sena & Andrew are making great progress on the courses. Andy is learning the joys of manual white balance and editing in AVCHD.
The audience at Crystal Dive Resort wasn't left disappointed last night with Jimmy's final movie which was aired last night to the awaiting crowd. The 28 minute showreel featured some amazing footage from the dive sites around Koh Tao, including hawksbill turtles, sea snakes and some of the smaller species that can be found. Jimmy started the course as a complete beginner in filming and editing but has truly turned into a professional videographer and editor. Good work from Jimmy and his video trainers Dan & Jace.
